The USDA and the Softwood Lumber Board (SLB) Announced their 2nd Mass-Timber Design Competition

The USDA’s Forest Service and the Softwood Lumber Board have opened their 2nd annual Mass Timber Competition. Building to Net-Zero Carbon is now open for proposals from eligible teams. This competition is to promote and expand the use of mass timber in US building projects. The competition awards $2M in total proposals.

This year’s deadline is May 5, 2023, with an informative competition webinar slated for March 21. Winners will be announced the week of October 16. Visit the Softwood Lumber website for more details about entry qualifications and submission guidelines.
